"Poesy therefore is an art of imitation, for so Aristotle termeth it in his word mimesis, that is to say, a representing, counterfeiting, or figuring forth -- to speak metaphorically, a speaking picture; with this end, to teach and delight." --Sir Philip Sidney The Defense of Poesy, English Essays: Sidney to Macaulay, The Harvard Classics (Bartlby.com)
Teach or delight? Art or science? These are obsolete questions based upon artificial dichotomies.
There can be some aspects of each one of these things, along with more than a hundred other things,
within any subject, discipline or resource (including, reflexively, within each one of these things,
so there is a science of teaching, teaching about science, art about science, science about art etc.).
Here is an outline of a unique classification scheme of such things developed exclusively for Cosma.
Most of the pages in Cosma include tables of resources organized by this classification scheme.
