Trans-Neptunian Object (TNO; also written transneptunian object) is any minor planet in the Solar System that orbits the Sun at a greater distance on average than Neptune. The Kuiper belt, scattered disk, and Oort cloud are three divisions of this volume of space. The first trans-Neptunian object to be discovered was Pluto in 1930. It took more than 60 years to discover, in 1992, a second trans-Neptunian object, (15760) 1992 QB1, with only the discovery of Pluto's moon Charon before that in 1978. Now over 1200 trans-Neptunian objects appear on the International Astronomical Union, Minor Planet Center's List Of Transneptunian Objects. The largest known trans-Neptunian objects are Pluto and Eris, followed by Makemake and Haumea. (Trans-Neptunian object, 2015) [2]blank.gif Wikipedia blank.gif
Kuiper belt, sometimes called the Edgeworth–Kuiper belt, is a region of the Solar System beyond the planets extending from the orbit of Neptune (at 30 AU) to approximately 55 AU from the Sun. It is similar to the asteroid belt, although it is far larger—20 times as wide and 20 to 200 times as massive. Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of small bodies, or remnants from the Solar System's formation. While the asteroid belt is composed primarily of rock and metal, the Kuiper objects are composed largely of frozen volatiles (termed "ices"), such as methane, ammonia and water. The belt is home to at least three dwarf planets – Pluto, Haumea, and Makemake. Some of the Solar System's moons, such as Neptune's Triton and Saturn's Phoebe, are also believed to have originated in the region. (Kuiper belt, 2015) [3]blank.gif Wikipedia
Oort cloud is a hypothesized spherical cloud of comets which may lie roughly 50,000 AU, or nearly a light-year, from the Sun. This places the cloud at nearly a quarter of the distance to Proxima Centauri, the nearest star to the Sun. The Kuiper belt and scattered disc, the other two reservoirs of trans-Neptunian objects, are less than one thousandth of the Oort cloud's distance. The outer limit of the Oort cloud defines the cosmographical boundary of the Solar System and the region of the Sun's gravitational dominance. The Oort cloud is thought to comprise two separate regions: a spherical outer Oort cloud and a disc-shaped inner Oort cloud, or Hills cloud. Objects in the Oort cloud are largely composed of ices, such as water, ammonia, and methane. Astronomers believe that the matter composing the Oort cloud formed closer to the Sun and was scattered far out into space by the gravitational effects of the giant planets early in the Solar System's evolution.(Oort cloud, 2015) [4]blank.gif Wikipedia

Titans of Space VR app for Cardboard

This type of "space exploration" application has become a typical, but powerful standard early release for each VR platform. This is with good reason -- it consistently plays to the strengths of the emerging low end VR platforms in both content and user interface. It also a fairly low threshold, but worthwhile educational experience. It is worth noting that some version of this specific application or close relatives can be found on each platform, so be sure to check to see if it is available for whatever platform you are using. You can also check the official web site (first link below).
